Hi,

Just started receiving this error message:
PHP script .../sohoadmin/version.php is protected by SourceGuardian and requires file ixed.lin.4.3.9.pxp.
Is there a download or patch available. All sites are affected! It comes up after logging in! :eek:

Hi Cameron,

I used the patch you sent to fix an install that was new (originally installed fresh with latest 4.7 release). That fixed the sourceguardian issue for that domain.
However, if I apply the patch to domains that were upgraded from previous soholaunch versions (say, 4.6 to 4.7), then we cannot get past the license screen. Everytime you click "Accept", it returns back to the same license screen. I have even tried running setup.php again. (I had to remove the old host and isp config files first). Still no luck.

Hi,

After looking over the code, I decided to basically delete "soholaunch.lic" (actually, I renamed it). This time, after clicking "Accept" at the license screen it went right in. This allowed soho to recreate the license and all is now working well.

The reason why this error is coming up is because the file ixed.lin.4.3.9.pxp is not included in the latest distribution froom soholaunch. I had to retrieve the file manually from www.sourceguardian.com.

It would be a help to your customers if you keep updated with the latest files from www.sourceguardian.com and not leave us guessing on how to fix such a problem.

We do try to keep the ixed files updated as they are made available, but Source Guardian has to keep up with each addition of PHP. When Soho users run into problems with the software they will always find help on the forums or can submit Support Tickets.

This comment was cryptic to a novice like me. If you said clearly that you will need to download ixed.lin.4.3.9.pxp from www.sourceguardian.com and put it in the /sohoadmin/ixed directory then that would have been a lot better and would make these boards more relevent.

Well the reason I said that was because the latest .pxp was not available from source gaurdian. They have to create new de-encryption pxp's for every new version of php. Unfortunatly this takes time, but we at Soho have made a patch allowing customers to run our product as the latest version of Source Guardian was not available.
