Simple outside link in Menu

How come when adding a page in Pro there isn't a option just to point it to a outside site, or page? For example: I want to add a link to some Forums. So right now, the only way to get a Forums link on the Dynamic Menu, is to create a page, drop some redirection code to the forums in it, and then add it to the displayed pages in the menus.

Am I missing something, or is that the only way possible now?

Currently the only way to add an outside link to your main menu is to either use a redirection script, or to use a custom template or to modify a current template. This is something we are going to change.
