Hi,

This is my first attempt at a website, well for 6 years. The last website I wrote was totally in Notepad. I just love Soholaunch, it makes things a damn site easier. Anyhow, please have a look at my site, I'd really appreciate any constructive critisism:

It's a good presentable site. In the sub-pages however, you should change the color of your headline text. Normally bright text on a bright background is hard to see.

Thanks for the input Adrian, I've taken your advice, and I've also chopped a lot out so it now concentrates on setting up a business & designing the web site.

Good job on correcting some things. I do like the overall content of the site. It's very informative. Now, add some pictures and keep improving on it. :)

Thanks for the support Adrian :) . I'd like to put some pictures on, but I don't to do it just for ther sake of it, and I can't think of anything relelvent.

I've overhauled the index page making it less cluttered, or less wordy rather. But I can see problems ahead if I continue to add subjects, it's going to get cluttered again. Any suggestions?

One suggestion is to list your subjects much like a table of contents in a book, where each subject line links to the page. Additionally, offer links going backward, forward, and back to index on each page. Example here:

Just a thought:

You'll probably want to add new subjects later, so why not break down the subjects into groups? For example, make four columns:

Starting a business Running your business Marketing Your Website

And organize the links under the appropriate column. It makes it easier to find the information you want, rather than having to read each link to find it.

The berkshirelamplighter.com site does something like this, too.

Thanks all for the feedback so far, it's been very useful. I re-done the homepage http://www.the-e-site.com again with a slightly more lively template, and tabled the contents. Your thoughts and comments are most definately appreciated.

Hi, again thanks for the feedback, it's been really helpful. I've now added some Google ads but I'm not sure whether it spoils the look of the site.

I'm also quite pleased with myself that I've managed to add external dynamic pages for a news archive. Basically I have a prog that collects the RSS news feed, and then creates a static HTML page of the days news. This was bloody complicated as it uses a template to shove the code in, so I had to recreate the Soholaunch code around the template.

Anyhow please let me know what you guys think
