Hi, I'm new of the forum, I'm from Italy.

My hosting service (http://www.hostingperte.it/) has Soholaunch PRO Edition (4.8.5 r15)avalaible for installation in the Fantastico addons. I'm using the RVSite Builder at the moment, but I would like to know if it's possible to edit my site using your tools.

I find your program fantastic, but before risking to make troubles with my site (i'm not so clever with sitebuilding) I'd like to know:

1. Is the PRO Edition enough complete, I mean, not just for sitebuilding? How far is it from your demo in your site?
2. Is the whole in English? (my site users are Italian)
3. How does pubblication works? Do I have to publish my site by ftp? (I do it directly by RVSite Builder now)
4. Can I replace the RVSite Builder with Soholaunch? Will it just overwrite the former or...?

Thanx in advance for your answer, maybe my questions may look a bit 'naive', but it's important for a newbie to learn the knowhow.

Greetings

Hi Webmistress,

Welcome to the Soholuanch community.
1. Is the PRO Edition enough complete, I mean, not just for sitebuilding? How far is it from your demo in your site?
Our online demo sites aren't running any special version --- that's exactly what you get when you buy the full version of Pro Edition

2. Is the whole in English? (my site users are Italian)
Yes, or Norwegian. Check out this page (http://wiki.soholaunch.com/index.php?title=Translating_Soholaunch) in our wiki for instructions on translating Pro Edition into another language.

3. How does pubblication works? Do I have to publish my site by ftp? (I do it directly by RVSite Builder now)
Publication is instant. As soon as you hit "save page" your changes go live. You don't have to touch FTP.

4. Can I replace the RVSite Builder with Soholaunch? Will it just overwrite the former or...?
The quick answer is "yes, soholaunch should just overwrite the former". Can't say for sure though since I've never worked with RVSite Builder. I think the real issue won't be getting Pro Edition installed on your website on top of your old site builder -- that part should be pretty easy especially with Fantastico --- the real issue is how to preserve your existing site content. And that depends on how RVSitebuilder saves it... Do you know whether RVS generates .html files or something for your page content?

I'm not sure, but for every page I see .html files and .php files

Hmm... Have you already installed Soholaunch Pro Edition on your site, or are you still running RVSitebuilder?

I ask because Pro Edition also creates .html and .php files for every site page.
