Resellers of my hosting will have Fantastico set up on each new domain automatically and as you know, Fantastico now includes Soholaunch pro edition. They will not however have any of the add-on modules and need to order them.

My question, is there a way for customers of their resold accounts to order say, the shopping cart, directly? The resellers don't have a Soholaunch partner login.

You have control over all the domains in your partner area, and can control which features you want in each domain. With fantastico installations you will need to go into the partner area for each domain, and specify which modules. The best way is probably to offer 2 options: Pro Base (no modules) and Pro (Full),

I probably didn't explain my question well.

I am a reseller so the "box" is not mine. The host doesn't want to use Soholaunch anymore and so I am stuck. I love this product and want to continue to use and offer it.

If customer installs via fantastico (in resold hosting account), can they go to soholaunch.com and purchase license for add-on themselves?

OR Can I get my own partner account and still use reseller hosting I use now?

If so, what access do I need from the "box" owner to apply the add-ons to the domains on the resold hosting accounts?

Well you have two options:

1)Make it clear to your host that this is important for you. Feedback like this is important so that your host appreciates your needs.

2) Bipass your host, and license through us. I believe you need to be the main "reseller" account so that you can gain access to the fantastico admin cp. If you can't get access to this, than you won't be able to autoinstall pro with fantastico, but you can still install it and license it. Your reseller has probably already created an account with the ip that you are on, so you will need to submit a support ticket including your situation, ip address, email address, company name, url, and a contact number. From their you can manage everything on your account through our partner area.

No root access needed. If your host provides you with ssh access just upload the .tgz and untar it in your root directory. Then just open up a browser and run the wizard. If your host does not provide ssh access, then you will need to extract on your pc and then ftp each file to the server. I recommend the first option because it eliminates upload ascii/binary problems but both will work just fine. If you are uploading individual files then you will have to set up your ftp client with information about each extension. ie .php is ascii and .jpg is binary.

Hope this helps!

Hi Kwest,

I think the answer to your question depends on how much you wish to integrate Soholaunch into your business. If you intend to make it available to all your clients and you have more than a few then I would think that individual licensing on a reseller account is NOT the way to go.

At the moment VPS accounts run about $20-$30 a month above the average reseller account. The freedom a dedicated enviironment gives you is worth that and more (again if you have enough paying clients) and a Fantastico VPS license is only $18 (prettty unbelievable but true) so you can save yourself alot of time with installations.

Now all that said - going that route is going to cost you around $100 per month in all including your VPS and a 100 pack license so if you don't have that kind of revenue from clients and have no immediate plans to get to that level then single licenses will work. Just my two cents

I am planning on going the VPS route....I'm currently looking at www.powervps.com they have a plan that runs $44.00 per month...and it includes Fantastico...I just want to be able to offer the Pro version to all clients....

Thanks for your thoughts...

Keith :)
