Hello there all,

Umm, I seem to have made a serious error adding a Flash file to my page in the text editor of SohoLaunch. I know, there's a video button, but I am so used to hand-coding I didn't realize it would cause the following problem ...

Which is ... I cannot edit that page anymore. The "loading page data" animation just spins and spins forever. Now ordinarily I would just delete such a problem and start fresh, but I have done it on the home page which is undeleteable.

The home page does load OK & correctly, I just can't get into it via soholaunch now.

So 1.) can I fix this this or 2.) how do I delete and recreate the home page? Advice is deeply appreciated!!!

Well you can delete the content of the page by going into /sohoadmin/tmp_content and deleting the .con and .regen file for the Home_Page.con and Home_Page.regen. If you would like I could try getting into the page if you send me the info, or perhaps try getting into on a different computer.

Hi Cameron,

Did the above and was able get back into edit mode and redo the page. However, when I add the Flash file through the video button, it seems to change the quality of the playback to low. How can I change this so that the file looks the same as at creation? The swf file is only 3kb as it is now.

Thanks,
lolly

Lolly,

Sorry for the delayed response. When you place a Flash file in Soholaunch, there is an option to change the size of the display. Try changeing these to different values. Flash can include lots of random files that may slow down performance. Depending on where the file is being pulled from, this also could create this problem. Soholaunch itself does not change the quality of video or flash files. Hope this solves your problem.
