The font size in text editor has been working fine. Today, however, when I tried to use it in a new text, all it will let me do is double space, or triple, or something other than single space. How do I get to single spacing?

Anne,

Try holding down the shift key while you press the enter button.

Sounds like you might be pasting text from another source. Usually this will cause the double line space.
If so, you can remove the formatting in the text editor.

I tried holding down the shift key and pressing the enter button. I did this many times. Nothing has changed. I am not trying to paste anything---just type some text. I was a bit confused by your statement "If so, you can remove the formatting in the test editor". Not sure how to do this because I've tried changing the "heading" (in the choices next to the font button) and I see nothing else that gives me the option to change line spacing. Am I so blind that I'm missing the obvious?

Me again. I just typed a line, then held the shift key down while pressing enter, and that single spaced it for me. Will I have to do this every time in order to single space? I'm assuming maybe before when I used the text editor and did not have to do this, maybe I cut and pasted a single spaced text from another source (I don't remember). Anyway, so there is no way to keep it on single space? Once again, thanks!

Anne,

I'm not sure what you're trying to do. If you are just typing in the text editor, as you type, the text will drop to the next line (single space). If you press your 'enter' button it causes the double space.

Brad, I don't know what was happening---or maybe I should say what I was doing....
When I was having the problem, I was just typing in the text editor and it would not wrap. (There didn't appear to be a right margin.) Now I'm sure I just somehow screwed up, or did something screwy, because now, for whatever reason it is wrapping and single spacing. Oh well.....I'm just thankful that now I'm doing it correctly :-) or that it's working. I'm just beginning to use Soho and am working my way around it learning the different things. Thanks for your help. This forum is WONDERFUL!!!!!!
