I read on Soholaunch website that "Soholaunch also has a partnership with Template Monster online to deliver Soholaunch integrated templates. With over 3500+ graphic templates available for immediate download Template Monster will provide ample selection of top quality templates for use with end-user sites." (http://website.soholaunch.com/index.php?pr=FAQ#10)

Can you tell me where these are on Template Monster? In doing a search of the site, I cannot find soholaunch integrated templates.

Thanks,
Linda

We where working out a partnership with them in the past where we would be able to convert all their templates but they simply where charging too much. Their conversion rates where sometimes twice as expensive as the template, so therefore this would not offer any value to our customers. This is outdated information and will be removed. Templates are going to be a chief focus moving forward. We are constatly adding new functions and features to templates, and will plan to add such things as template libraries. Don't get me wrong, the guys from template monstor where real nice guys, and have a great thing going, but this just wasn't a solution for our product.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't converting a template as easy as inputting the tags in the html? Am I missing something...

Pretty much. I am always looking for a way to cut a corner or two to save time and energy. I haven't tried to convert TM templates. If you have access to their templates you could easily convert them with just a little tweaking.

It depends on the template. With templates that are realy not made to be "universal" might need to be tweaked a bit before everything works 100%.

As for the templates - can anyone please help me on this: I missed the information on the purpose (difference) among Custom HTML File #1 and Custom HTML File #2 (when uploading custom templates). Any hints ?

Thank you !

Hi all,

just wanted to tell you that converting templates from templatemonster is not that easy, because the stylesheet soholaunch uses from their runtime ( i hope this will get totally overrules by the custom.css soon) is still overriding certain tags. Im sure this problem will be solved soon.

Certain template are at this moment not 100% to be made compatible, it totally depends on the design, amount of boxes etc. but am sure when a new blog manager will be available, this will become easier.

so in other words:
Yes, It is not that difficult to make a template compatible, if you know what you are doing, and No, this does not count for all templates.

For v4.7 and up: As long as you're going the "factory template" route with your templates -- not uploading as "custom" via Template Manager.....

If Pro find a custom.css file in your template's folder, it will use it instead of the default stylesheet (runtime.css).

To make sure you account for the central style classes and such, it's often helpful to use a copy of the regular runtime.css as the starting point for your custom.css file.

A little inside info: The Blog Manager will get enhancements of its own (related to blogs), but promo box management duties will be moved to a dedicated area, most likely within the Template Manager.
