View Full Version : Text Editing Tool Not Working

Would there be any particular reason why the text editor doesn't seem to want to make changes when trying to edit previously added text? For example, if I no longer want bold, it takes forever for the change to "stick". I have to keep trying again and again, and even then, 70% of the time, it won't work. If I try to backspace and erase the text and reenter it, it has even bolded the rest of the text below it. I also have problems with changing font color and fill color. It doesn't seem to respond to the first time, or sometimes at all.
Also, this may be more of an obvious question, but why does the font size appear different on different sections of the same page or on different pages even though I am using the same font/font size on each section/page?
Any help would be appreciated.

Any chance you've been copy-pasting test from MS Word or Internet Explorer or something? If so, I reccommend pasting the text in notepad fist to strip any formatting off of it, then copy it out of notepad and into Soholaunch's Text Editor....that way there's no lingering formatting stuff screwing you up.

YEP! Wonderful advice! Didn't think of doing that. I will now!

I must say that the PASTE FROM WORD button inside the editor works pretty OK, not good enough offcourse, because it depends on the content, but for simple text, this works fine as well. you just have to find its limits :-D

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I was wondering why there is a Paste from Word button if you have to go through notepad first, but I'm at the point that I'll do whatever it takes to get the job done. I think the text that I've been having trouble with has had a lot of formatting and that may have been the problem. I'll use the Paste from Word button for simple things and go through Notepad first for the complicated. ;)
