Hi Ian
the installation was very easy.
I use the option 4 (Only Users Auto Form without Validation ) because I want to avoid having to use the batch authentification procedure every day
People are added to the Authorized Users ,that's OK , but then , how can I configure the plugin when I want to send them to a specific page or URL after they login ?
In other words, how to configure "What site page should this user be sent to upon login?" if I want to send all of them to a specific page and not to my home page ?
My purpose is to give them access to a specific page ,but only after they have given me their Email. The other pages from my site are open for everybody
thank you very much

Well you see, that will be V1.2 ;)

Working on such a thing as we speak, as well as colour options and maybe different language options.

Thanks Ian,
The plugin is good, but how come the register me button is redirected to a completely foreign website?
It is not very professional for me if clients fill out this form and when they click register me....are sent to a website selling products that has absolutely nothing to do with my site.
So please, how can i change this?

Hey,

Sorry about that, some other people have been having the same problem. I have fixed it in the new update. Version 1.2 is now ready to download or update. Just go to manage plugins then click on Update.

Cheers,
Ian

If an error comes up saying:

sec_user table does not exist

You may need to add one member yourself to get the SoHo Lauch builder to automatically generate this table for you. This will be addressed in the next update.

Hey,

Yeah sorry, I meant create a new member not with the addon but with the Member Login from SoHo. It will then create the table.

Adding a member manually will do this. THen use the plugin.

I will add a detection in the new update.

Hey,

It still seems like a problem with SoHo's databases. Tell me, when you go into Site Databases and you sroll down do you see a sec_users table or not?

Do you mean UDT or MySql?

I am asking Mike M to have a look.

Thanks for your time

It does send, it depends on there email client whether to receive it.

It sometimes goes in the junk email.

Working on this as we speak to get more verfication of the email going.

Hello Ian,
I have been using the Transaction History addon on my site for a while now and am really happy with it.
I have purchased the Auto Member Registration Kit today and have set it up on my site successfully....it's GREAT, thanks!
I just have a question.... on the Soho site that I purchased it from , it says in the description:

How does the user know they have signed up?

The forms automatically sends them emails. If you have chosesn to use validation then 2 emails are sent to them. One saying thankyou for registering and then the second when you reject or accept them. If you are not using validation then they are only sent one. The emails include thier login information as well such as thier username and password. Also, if you use validation then a simple text base email is sent to your account telling you there is a member pending on your site.

I am not receiving any e-mails to notify me of pending members. Is there something I need to do to activate this?

I appreciate your time and hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards,

Kylie Gordon.
PS. just a couple more things...is there any way to edit the e-mail they receive when they register? I'd just like to add my business name/details, so they know who it's from.
and...I've just notice (been testing it out) that when I tried to update details via the 'Update your account information' it doesn't change any of the details. Once again, is there something I need to do here?
Thanks again

Having seen Ian posting since late March...

Post the url of your membership form page and I will take a real quick look to see if there is anything obvious. No promise, of course :).

You may also want to fill out the "contact us" form to ask if Ian has an alternative contact info on the addons site where you purchased the plug-in.

I took a quick look and it appears Ian has his own code and does not use soho built-in form processing code. Sorry...:(

I do not receive any e-mail notification of membership.
I have checked my junk box as well and used two different e-mail accounts(web mail and outlook express..my operating system is windows vista..

Also if there a way to see all the informations on the registered members.
I was looking in database but there is nothing created.
