View Full Version : Cannot Connect To License Server
Have been dealing with errors in Fantastico, Soholaunch area for the past week, Netenberg has not been able to help. Now when clients create a new Soholaunch installation they cannot connect to the license server. Not sure if the errors are related but I really some help on this, my clients are getting very impatient. I submitted a support ticket 5 days ago with no reply. Here is the error that is seen in Fantastico when navigating to the Soholaunch area, could it be related to why the new installation cannot connect? If not, is there another solution? Prior installations are working fine.
Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to auto.securexfer.net:80 in /usr/local/cpanel/base/tmp/USERNAME-1106010592-30236(50) : eval()'d code on line 19
Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /usr/local/cpanel/base/tmp/USERNAME-1106010592-30236(50) : eval()'d code on line 58
Thanks
Update:
All is working today, never heard anything from Netenberg, it just started working.
Thanks

"Cannot connect to licensing server.
Please try again in a few minutes.
Note: This is a one time process, and will eventually succeed given sufficient attempts/time."
I am getting this error message and tried (and re-tried) unsuccessfully for roughly 45 minutes both last night and this morning at 6:00 AM. I am attempting to install to my domain through Fantastico. What's the deal?

Hi godlesskinser,
Is this on your own server or a hosting account?

Hi godlesskinser,
Is this on your own server or a hosting account?
I am using soholaunch through my host ("My Site Space").
edited to add new info:
I just uninstalled and re-installed to my domain and received the following, but was told it was added successfully.
"Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to auto.securexfer.net:80 in /tmp/cpanel.godlessk.1106245105.25729(60) : eval()'d code on line 19

Okay, I finally got through, I thought, because I was given an error message advising me to change permissions on my root directory. Did that, now back to "Cannot Connect..."

Have you contacted your host?

I am currently in communication with them on the issue. More later.

One of the tech support personnel at my host replies that he is having the same problem installing to their test site. He and another of their techs are working the issue to see if it is something at their end.

We have looked into this problem and determine the problem to be a firewall on some servers. To fix this issue you will need to add auto.securexfer.net and securexfer.net to your firewalls. If you are unaware of a firewall on your server you should contact your host and fill them in on the situation. Your server also has to allow fsock connections. Please let me know if this doesn't resolve any issues anyone has with connecting to our licensing server.
