Hi Folks,
An effective little template I really like is FUN>Field (blue) with the upside down boy! Nice and bright.
But the width on this template is way to narrow for my site.....even narrower than on the illustrated example that's shown on your template screenshot. Is there any way to make this wider, both in the graphic banner and the text areas below?

This template is coded to be 702 pixels wide. You need to have a working knowledge in HTML to tweak it, and you will have to deal with the issue of how to expand the header graphic as well.

OK. Pity about that as I'm not an html programmer. Begs the question why such a narrow template is being offered in the first place, doesn't it? That size seems pretty useless ....... why would anyone want a template that narrow?.....or am I missing something here??!!
Tried to look in the template folder to see if I could change anything, but couldn't find anything mentioning 702 px. Oh well. :(
I like the interface of the Soholaunch software, but I dislike most of the templates offered here. Too dull and unimaginative in many cases. Even the premium templates are pretty basic in layout and looks. The only one of a general nature (i.e. not real estate....for God's sake!) that I thought was bright and visually appealing was this Fun>Field template.
Thanks anyway

I generally stick to a template width to about 790px wide, because there are still a substantial number of 800x600 resolution monitors out there. This is to avoid horizontal scrolling, a very bad attribute for a website.
One can make a template fills the whole width of the browser window regardless of the size, but it is much more difficult to control the layout with this kind of flex-width templates.
I agree that a width of 702px is a little too narrow. We offer template customization services ranging from simple tweaks to adoptation of commerically available templates to original artwork for Soho. PM me if interested.
