Hi - I am a bit unclear as far as the autoresponder feature in BV. I have done a search for “autoresponder” in the forums and what I read makes things even more unclear.

I am also unclear as to whether the autoresponder in BV and the newsletter feature in
Soholaunch are the same thing or two different features.

I want to create a lead capture page on my site and be able to provide a newsletter to subscribers. I read somewhere that the newsletter feature in Soholaunch will allow me to send a newsletter daily, weekly, or monthly.

Under the daily option does this mean I could send the newsletter one day wait two days and send another etc. in other words I can pick which days I want the newsletter to be delivered?

Can the autoresponder or newsletter feature be preloaded so that when each person signs up they would get the newsletter delivered in a sequential manner starting with 1 even though other subscribers may be receiving newsletter 5?.

Are there any limits to how long the newsletter can be delivered – in other words could I preload (if possible to preload) 50 or more newsletters to go out in a sequential manner?

And finally what is the limit on the number of subscribers?

Thanks in advance!

Hi JohnBoy,

Welcome to the Soholaunch community. :)

Yes. You pick when you want to send. It's not scheduled. You send whenever you want to, and only when you want to.

Can the autoresponder or newsletter feature be preloaded so that when each person signs up they would get the newsletter delivered in a sequential manner starting with 1 even though other subscribers may be receiving newsletter 5?.
No. But IMHO that "drip" functionality is something we'll be releasing probably as a plugin in the future.

Are there any limits to how long the newsletter can be delivered – in other words could I preload (if possible to preload) 50 or more newsletters to go out in a sequential manner?
Doesn't really work that way. You create a newsletter (campaign), then hit the "send" button whenever you're ready to send it. So in that sense you could do what you're talking about...you could create 50 newsletter campaigns...then go in and hit that "send" button on a particular one whenever you want it to go out. There are no limits on the amount of time you have a campaign lying around waiting to send.

And finally what is the limit on the number of subscribers?
None.

Hi Mike

found out about soholaunch today and think it may be the answer to my problems. I am new to websitedevelopment and find it hard to start.
One question which puzzles me is the fact that I cannot preload my autoresponder and I wonder can I install autorespondersoftware which has that function.
I also wonder if all features of the software are available to me. My host is TurboWWW.com (I read not all features are available if you have shared hosting with hostgator.

Feel shy with my question about the autoresponder.

Hello Adrične,
Thanks for your interest in Soholaunch. Several of the functions in SL have an "autoresponder" as part of their functionality. As an example, when someone submits a query through a form an autoresponder is included. You have the ability to write custom responses simply by creating and uploading a txt file. In addition, with forms, every submission can be recorded in an online db that can then be downloaded and/or searched.

As far as features offered . . . that is on a host by host basis. Some have licensed the full package, but you always have the option to license your SL domain license directly from Soholaunch. You then have the ability to move your site to any host since you personally own the license for that domain. The cost is a one-time $99 fee. The two you mention offer the base Soholaunch license that requires the $99 upgrade from SL for the full functionality to work past the first 15 day trial period.
