Variable Pricing

We would like to accept payments online and I thought the shopping cart would be a good way to do that but I need to be able to allow them to enter a custom amount.

Can anyone create a Variable Pricing plugin? I basically need for people to choose an item, enter the amount they want to pay, and answer a custom question.

Hey Mike,

I'm glad you asked. We run a private school and have considered accepting payments online. We would accept payments for things like tuition, lunch, after care, sports, etc. I would need parents to be able to select one of those items, enter the amount they wish to pay, and then tell us which student that payment is for. I thought this might be able to be done with the custom questions part of the shopping cart.

The reason I wanted to do this in a shopping cart type environment is because that gives the parents the ability to log into an account and view their payment history. If I just setup a payment page with our payment gateway then they wouldn't be able to get a history.
