Error loading Prem Gallery

I'm getting an error (below) when I try and load the Premium Photo Gallery. I've been emailing with the ViaStep folks and they're telling me it's probably a permissions problem. The plugin should load into the "/public_html/sohoadmin/plugins/viastepphotogallery" directory. I've set the permission to 777. Here's the error:

Could not successfully extract zip file (viastepphotogallery121.zip). You may want to check whether the .zip archive file itself is incomplete/damaged. To do this, use WinZip or similiar utility on your local PC to open up the plugin .zip file you downloaded... If the .zip opens in WinZip with no error message, and you can see all the files and folders within the .zip, then the archive is probably OK. Otherwise, if you do get an error when you try to open the plugin .zip with WinZip, then try re-downloading the plugin .zip, or contacting the plugin author if that doesn't work. Error: Unable to detect name of extracted folder.

Any suggestions on getting this plugin to load?

The server tech updated the php.ini file on the server and forgot to enable
a function that I needed to allow plugins to unzip. Frustrating, but fixed. On the next thing...:cool:

do u know which function he enabled?

Not for sure. but in the past I've had problems when the setting son the server did not allow compressed files to be uncompressed. This a security feature that defaults to "no". So, they have to be sure and allow compressed files to be unzipped. Hope that helps.
