Just wondering if those of us who had to move to 4.7 beta 2 will encounter any difficulties upgrading our sites to the 4.7 release? Will there be a php install file that we should run (just worried about database layouts, etc.).

Thanks.

Rich

PS: Hate to ask..but do you think we can expect the release within the next week, or so? I have clients that are excited about the features such as being able to sort the menu!

Release Candidate 3 is now available at http://partner.soholaunch.com. Before you upgrade, make sure you back up your databases, /images, /media, /tmp_content folders, and back up any custom templates that you use.

Cameron,

Thanks for the fast response! ooops...I was going in the old partner area....I see rc3 now.
Guess I was also wondering if we should run setup.php and/or upgrademe.php on sites that are running 4.7b2, or just copy all of the rc3 files over what's there now with no additional steps? (My thoughts include getting the help manual to work....I wasn't able to change it in the config file before)

Thanks.

Rich

Where is it? I logged into the partner area and found only the Pro Beta2. Am I blind???

Okay, I just noticed someone referred to the "old" partner area. When I clicked on the link at http://partner.soholaunch.com and tried to log in with my userid, I could not get in. What's up? I am feeling like an orphaned child this morning!

4.7 is available at http://partner.soholaunch.com, all you should do is extract the file; you should not got through setup again.

As soon as you login, on the left site there is a category called Product Install Files. You will Find 4.7 there.

When I try to log in to http://partner.soholaunch.com I get nothing. I put in the same username (my email address) and password that works on the website.soholaunch.com link and the page does nothing. So, I input my email addresss and click help me. Still nothing happens. The page does not forward to anywhere. I am still looking at the login form.

I've downloaded the new Release. Thanks.

Back to the question that started this thread -- how do we upgrade? I know we should back up the files, but do we need to upload all of the new release files? I didn't see any reference to upgrading in the Readme file. Is there a change log so we can see what changes were made and then upload only those files? I am running 4.7b2.

After backing up (make sure you backup your isp.conf.php), upload the tgz file to your docroot. Simply extract it. If you are uploading the /sohoadmin folder via ftp(which is the more stressful way), you must back up everything to be safe, as this wil overwrite everything. Upload the /sohoadmin folder, then upload the back up folders like, /media /images /sohoadmin/tmp_content /sohoadmin/config/isp.conf.php and you should be all set!

I ftp'd mine and do not see any changes in the program like I do when I did a fresh install for another site.
Any idea's?

not all changes in the different versions are visible Kohl, best is to checkout the changes descibed in a text file somewhere i believe.

This is pretty obvious, i.e. no sortable Menu, etc.

hmmm, if you downloaded the latest version you should have the sortable menu. I would double check your uploads and see if you really have uploaded the latest version.

Well I downloaded it locally, I cannot imagine that I uploaded the wrong shoadmin.
But for grins, what file would I go check on the site to see if I did?

well, thats difficult to say, but i would suggest look at the dates of the files on the server and compare them with the ones you have. take for example the files in the sohoadmin folder (root)

Are you installing by uploading the /sohoadmin folder, or are you uploading the .tgz then extracting?
