Second - An interesting question for reseller hosts

We are considering a pilot program where through automation we will be able to change the Flash demo market by allowing reseller hosts to sell not only soholaunch but Soholaunch training (along with a variety of hosting training) to their customers at previously unheard of prices. The question is - are hosts interested in selling Training? Our research indicates only one host using Flash demos as an incentive to their resellers - DIY hosting.

That program seemed to have been wildly popular. We believe however that pricing is a key consideration and are considering a production system that allows reseller hosts to rebrand our tutorials for each reseller customer they have and move the flash demo market from the producer of the demos to the reseller hosts for a significant profit. The system would require a fairly significant commitment of a few hundred dollars but result in the reseller host being able to sell all our training demos for less than even the cheapest demo providers can match. Is this something that would help increase soholaunch licensing by hosts and is this the kind of business (provided it was all automated) reseller hosts would be interested in? Thanks

Good questions for those who don't know us.

Are your demos completely branded to our company name?

Yes each demo contains refrences to your name only. No reference to Sohoadmin in the training or to Demostorm except for a small copyright notice at the end of some tutorials. We Do NOT charge to have our advertising removed from the product.

What is the turnaround on demos?

We've been working on that hard since it has been a problem with demand. We recently implemented some automation that allows us to cut the process in half. Turnaround times as of this week will no longer be 48 hours but 24 (weekends excluded)

Can you change elements in the training?

For the most part yes. We can do additional customization. Please contact us if you have specific needs (including redoing some demos with Sohotemplates or your own templates)


Can I get the source code to make branded versions for my customers?

No but as per the previous post by us we have and are developing a production system that will allow you to sell customer branded tutorials to your reseller customers for about 80% off. That option will not be available for those who have less than 10-20 resellers.

Is this special still valid? I checked the link and it appears to be active, but wanted to verify. Also, I have a couple of questions about the presentation pack, how big is the complete program and would it be possible to include it on a mini CD with auto-run to send to businesses that may be looking for webhosting? (basically will it run on any computer regardless of OS or is flash required?)

I may be interested in the resellers option.

You have more than enough space on a Cd to add the sales and training presentation. The packs can be compiled as an exe file and auto started - no problem there. .exe packaging costs an additional fee (not much) and then you can burn as many as you want with the appropriate autostart configuration added.

The Reseller Host production system will soon be available on a wider levlel. It will include Cpanel, FTP, Email, Fantastico and DNS Tutorials. Soholaunch demos can be added to this. Bear in mind the system is designed for volume orders which Reselling Hosts ( Hosts that have resellers) will sell or supply to their own customers. We are pretty excited about it since it will allow Reseller hosts to supply Flash tutorials to their resellers at prices that beat anything available anywhere because of its automation.

DemoStorm- If I purchased a single pack SohoPresentation demo (I would also want the training, but not for general distribution) would I be allowed to use that on a 'business card' cd that is distributed or does the licensing only allow for one instance of the demo? My concern about the size was I believe the cd's only hold about 40meg and would possibly want a couple of other items on the card.

When I get a little closer to being ready to launch the campaign I'll drop you an email to discuss more details. I'm just trying to get a feel for things right now.

The Presentation demos would easily take up less than 10 MB (flash files are fairly compact). Each demo comes customized to your company name. Once its been customized to that name you can make as many copies as you want with no additional fees. The only restrictions we have is that the demos will be customized (not generic) and demo should be used for the company its customized for.

Good idea for the business card. We had a Hosting presentation pack (cpanel, Fantastico and Hosting plans etc) but have taken it off our site to do additional work to it. How much are those going to run you per disk? Should be very effective,
