I know that for our company, building a Real Time Shipping plug-in has been on our list of To-do's for a long time. Finally we were able to build one and release it as a plug-in.

Since I know it has been discussed in multiple locations on this forum I wanted to post and make sure everyone was aware.

Currently we have UPS (http://addons.soholaunch.com/plugins/shopping_cart/ups_shipping) and FedEx (http://addons.soholaunch.com/plugins/shopping_cart/fedex_shipping), we should have USPS shortly.

Any comments or suggestions for its improvement are always welcome.

Cool usps will do it for me. Will be able to use international rates too.

Shipping is based on weight that is entered through the normal Soho cart configurations for each product. If you do not enter a weight it will use the per product shipping charge that is also controlled through the normal Soho cart configurations for each product.

Size is not currently configurable from the normal Soho cart configurations for each product so was not used in this plug-in. However, the application does have the ability to add a per order charge, allowing you to build in a "fudge" factor in your shipping cost.

We were more concerned with making the modules available to the Soho community, we will now begin preparing demo sites.

Cool usps will do it for me. Will be able to use international rates too.

USPS has been submitted to Soho and we are waiting for their approval before it is posted to the store. All three of the real time shipping modules will allow for international shipping.
