I am working on my first template. I don't see any #variables# for the meta data. How does the template pick up the unique data (Meta-Tags, Description, etc) from each page as is possible in Soho?

Go to sohoadmin > edit/open page > page properties and you enter all those meta-tags for the page there.

Thanks for the quick reply. I understand what you explained about the Meta data in Soho. What I am wondering about is a custom templae. Just like I have to put #Content# or #vmenu# so Soho recognizes where to plaze information, is there something I have to do for the Mata Tags? I can't find anything that says I have to put #Meta-Tag# or similiar to that SOHO knows where place the information we added in page properties.

Yes Soho automatically knows to write this data to the head of your document. No need for #variables#.

Just to add what Tim said: Soho inserts all meta tags in the <head> section of the generated HTML code regardless of template, even for pages without a template ("splash page" checked in page properties). These meta tags are maintained in "site_pages" table.
