I am using the communications step ahead template it looks great and suits my site nicely.

I am having a problem with the header/Logo, the site is located here http://milsom.biz the Bristol and Bath Home Computers text is the slogan line, when I insert the Header/logo it is half way down the blue graphic above it and moves the slogan text down a bit, is there a way to move the Company name to the free space below the graphic.

I have had a play but I am not an expert in php/html I can just change a few basic things.

Is there a way to change it so it has my logo there and not the company name as text, this is not a priority I just want my company name there anyway possible, but I would like to know for future reference if it is possible.

My site is live and this is making it look a bit amateurish so would appreciate some help ASAP.

Thanks

Steve

Your logo text appears fine to me -- it looks like you have managed to make it work (using slogan instead of logo text).

To change the logo text to an image is trickier than you think. This is because the template header involves a background image which will be obscured unless you make your logo image transparent or having the background seamlessly incorporated.

You can play with this file: http://milsom.biz/sohoadmin/program/modules/site_templates/pages/COMMUNICATIONS-Step_Ahead-none/index.html.

Changing #LOGO# to #LOGOIMG# will cause the template to call for a logo image instead of text, but the above complication applies.

You can read this document about customizing templates: http://wiki.soholaunch.com/index.php?title=Custom_Templates.

You can also look for other templates beyond what are included with the install here: http://addons.soholaunch.com/templates/. Many are free, including the group labeled "kickass conversions".

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I have managed to use the slogan as the logo/header text but the font is too small I would like it to stand out, I have managed to increase the size and I can change the colour but it breaks the template.
I will try with the logo image when I get one or use the temporary one I have already to test it, I should be able to make the background transparent.
