I recently saw a post asking forinstructions on making mods for soholaunch and it made me remember that making custom modules was a selling point of Soholaunch awhile back. My understanding is that there have been a few people who have tweaked the code.
We also know a few people who do templates for Soholaunch and even one that has created a skin for it. Then there seems to be a constant supply of people looking for hosts (some actually write us out of the blue looking for hosts).
Does the community think it would be good to have an offers section on the boards for Soholaunch related items? I know we post here in the lounge about our presentation tools and Training demos but I have never entirely felt comfortable with that although Its where other offers were made before ours.
We know there are at least three things we'd like to discuss with the community in regard to Soholaunch serivces (not just demos  ) but we've hesitated. I know I'd also like to see some templates. Seeing the single entry in the gallery has me wondering what else might be out there in terms of designs we could all incorporate into our Soholaunch experience. Theres alot going on behind the scenes that a few of us are privy to and know about that might be better understood with the freedom to discuss them in those sections.
Time for a place to share Soholaunch related services outside of the lounge in a section just for that? Whayt say Ye?

Sure, I'd be open to an "offers" section. I never knew users can make a "mod" for Soholaunch, so I would be interested in what others might have to offer.

I like this idea a lot. And as one who is intimately familiar with what's to come, I can say that this syncs up quite well with our future plans...
Our next two version are v4.9 and v5.0. The core purpose of v4.9 will be to empower template developers, with v5.0 taking on the task of empowering mod developers.
I'd love to start building some that infrastructure into the community now. I'll talk to Cameron about creating that section on the boards.

Great idea demostorm!
I NEEEEED some church related templates in a desperate way.
There is only one religious template. I cannot use the same template for more than one church in the same town.
Can anyone help or refer me to someone who can?

I am assuming that you have checked Sohotemplates. Anyway I Think I might be able to help. We have some designs in development and could tweak a few of them for you.
Custom designs is something I wanted to discuss in the new area. Templates are good but Soholaunch is so flexible customers can actually consider more than templates and hosts can actually have templates that are unique to them. Quite a few of our customers are using Soholaucnh as a development platform.

HELLO,
I have checked with sohotemplates, and they are introducing four new church related templates. I still would like more variations. For instance if the one religious template had multiple color variations, it would help. I'm not technical so figuring out how to modify existing templates is beyond me. Also, I don't really know what you mean by using soholaunch as a development platform.
While I have your ear, please let me ask an unrelated question. I have a programmer developing a php/mysql application. I would like to be able to drop his php pages onto the soho pages and have his page open below the soho template header and to the side of the menu options. He would need to be able to pull from his tables info per user inquiry. He thinks I can't use soho for this. I understand that I can use custom php or html, but specifically is there any reason his php page couldn't open right there rather than as a pop up or worse still not in a soho created site? (I think he wants to create the entire site from scratch because of $$$ for him.) Is there any documentation I can point him to that explains how to do this and that it can be done?
THANKs
Cameron Allen

You can include a custom php include in the template wherever you wish using a #CUSTOMPHP# function in your template. You can find more info on that here: http://docs.soholaunch.com/index.php?pr=Home_Page&id=6&read=60&p=&lang=english
You can also include custom php on a page by uploading the php script through the filemanager in the tool. Then drag and drop the custom code object on the desired page, and select your php include. You can find more info on this here: http://docs.soholaunch.com/index.php?pr=Home_Page&id=6&read=20&p=&lang=english
On top of that, you can use a seperate database for these custom includes, or you could create the tables need in the database that Soholaunch uses, and also manage the database through Soholaunch's database table manager and site data tables modules.
