Mate of mine just sent me a link which I was more than happy to follow.

It's one of those online petitions, but it's hosted on a .gov.uk domain so it's kosher - and it's a petition to try to get the fuel duties lowered.

Fat chance I know, but hey, it's worth a coupla clicks surely :hmm:

I went down to Chichester on Monday for lunch (wedding anniversary) and passed a gas station on the main A27 which had regular unleaded at £1.32 a litre!!

The news says that it will be £1.50 by the summer.

If British weather is anything to go by, that'll never happen then :)

Not judging by what you guys are getting at the moment - even Ireland is having better weather and we are the land of rain: like the Inuit with snow, we have hundreds of words for rain :) most begin with that great Irish word "fecking"

I sell product so the cost of freight is going through the roof, have been absorbing as much as I can but margins are getting way tight. Might have to hire a young lad with a bicycle and a basket  like the good old days. Suppose it would be more environmentally friendly.

You just need to "Open All Hours"

If this were France, I couldn't see it happening the way it is - they would just bring the country (and ours) to a standstill.

A few of our hauliers tried it last week and were promptly stopped by the police. A few tough Frenchies would have taken no notice of that at all!

Seen the french fishermen having a right go yesterday - smashing windows, fighting police, stopping ferries etc etc real revolution stuff. In Ireland they handed out free fish to highlight their plight, doh....personally would go down the french route, they sure do know how to demonstrate. Viva la revolution!!!! Off with their heads until we are happy. Here come the commodities wars.
