Just thought this may be of interest to all Firefox and Safari users for both Windows and Macs.
Windows and Mac users of the popular Firefox browser as well as users of the Apple Safari browser are being warned about a new cyber attack that targets the clipboard where copied text is stored.
After attacking the user’s clipboard, it then tries to spread poisonous links, which then stay in place even after the user copies new text. The only way to remove the programme is to reboot....

I've had hundreds of those MSNBC emails; fortunately, mailwasher captures them as they have all been flagged by Spamcop as spam :)

Yes seen the same increase in MSNBC spam in the last week or two. Use IE and windows myself but thought it may be of interest to the forum members.

Absolutely. Acutally, in the last week or so my spam has seen an extraordinary rise again
I use all three on the Windoze box - nice to be able to test in Safari with having to buy a MAC. Although looking at the price of a good 2nd user G5 on ebay, I may just treat myself :)

Go on, treat yourself, it is nearly Christmas. ;)
I am using browsershots.org to test sites. Start with developing on IE7 (the beast) and take it from there. Hey it’s cheap and works ;)
Just got some spam in, Angelina Jolie seems to very popular. Apparently her twins have killed each other

I have made my mind up to do it shortly - I'm getting a huge tax rebate I've been arguing about for five years and they've finally agreed ro pay it (5 figures!!).
I still have trouble with some css layouts in IE6.. they work fine in 7, FF and Safari, but completely break in IE6 - oh, and 8 beta too, which is just a horrible piece of software.
I got that one about Angelina, but I thought she was trying to flog me a Rolex

:hmm: IE6 "bit of a mare" but got my head around it, mostly. One of its worse points is it cannot understand transparent PNG's. IE8 seems to be rubbish full stop - lots on movement on CSS elements and gaps. Microsoft must have the business model of: GIANT Leaps backwards.
I'm getting a huge tax rebate
Always nice to get one over on the Taxman - Always churns in the old memory box the Beatles:
Now my advice for those who die, (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman)
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.
Dear Angelina, she sure does get around - selling this and that from the booth of her car :) while trying to separate her fratricidal twins.

I wish I could say I did get one over on 'em. Truth is, they sent me a bill for 75 grand five years ago. When we got through laughing we set about asking how they could make such a monumental cock up.
Eventually they cut it down to 26K which we argued a lot about and I refused to pay as the accountant does all that stuff for us and everything looked right from our end.
To cut a long story short, I had to pay it while we continued to argue otherwise they said they'd file for bankruptcy. So I paid it and took them to Court.
We just heard that I'm 17k in credit. I said thanks but I'd rather have it in my pocket - so we're still waiting for the cheque. Once it's cleared we can begin again on the rest that they still owe me.
I don't really mind paying tax, it's just that I resent some of things it's either spent on or not spent on as the case may be. But being billed for Tax which I've already paid is a bit of a cheek :ghasp:
I could have bought a new Ducati with that money :(

Maybe that is for the best ;) you can become seperated from them in the most painful of ways. Go out and buy yourself a nice Volvo :) sensible and with airbags.

:ehheh: Actually, I've got a Honda CRV - that's almost as bad..... Apparently, only old people buy them !

Nice motor :) much safer alternative to stepping off at the corner while going 165mph on a two wheel machine…you were quite mad DrJ and the age demographic for the CVR is 20 - 40 years of age :) amazing what you can find on the internet ;)

Is it? Bugger - have to get the Volvo then :)

:lmao: I do not believe ageism has reared its ugly head among car ownership, yet. Driving like a maniac is not just the preserve of youth - we can all do it :)

That's very true. When I orderd the CRV off the net I meant to click the NRX radio button

Are they paying you the interest you would have made had you kept the money and had it in a CD? I'm thinking no... :wtf:

Maybe you should charge them a penalty like they probably charged you?

And you'd be thinking right :( Even when they make a genuine mistake like this, they have some sort of loophole that means they are effectively beyond regular consumer rights and laws.
During this whole debacle I asked, under the Freedom of Information Act for all my paperwork, records, letters, emails, etc over the last five years to be sent to me. They don't even have to conform to that apparently, because in the Statute it says (paraphrasing): unless you're the Income Tax lot!
The words have and barrel spring to mind :(
