First let me say without a doubt I'm a newbie at web building, I want to start an online store to sell 2 simple products, is this for me?
Your demos and sales text says this is great for starters yet I see a lot of posts here that have issues well over a starter head, that concerns me.
I see that this loads to my domain site. I don't want it viewed online while I'm building the site. Can I build it within my offline computer and upload it once it is built?
If so is there a way to test all funtions of the site before uploading it?
With the full version can the shopping cart calculate discounts, i.e. 1 is entered into the shopping cart and $2.00 is charged, 2 items is entered into the shopping cart and $1.75 each is charged, volume discount, automatic?
Does the full version support "coupons"? I want the customer to enter a code in a coupon box and $1.00 is taken of the total price. I collect data, customer gets discount, automatic.
How easy/difficult is it to add Pay Pal?
Is the $99 one time or per year?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

I would like to know the answers to those questions also.

On top of that, could someone tell me whether it is possible to use SohoLaunch to build a subscription website, and then renew each membership automatically ?

Thanks

Answers to questions . . .

1) Subscriptions?: Recurring billing is not "built-in" to Soholaunch, however we handle that by modifying what is sent through the gateway to the credit card (or PayPal) processor. They are the ones that handle the subscription rebilling (if they offer it), not the Soholaunch cart. This would require a mod, but it can be done.

2) Easy to setup to sell 2 products online?: Yes. 1) Enter Business Description (address, etc.) questions, 2) Create at least one product "Category", 3) Enter your two products (descriptions, price, pictures, etc.), 4) Choose your desired payment system (Offline, PayPal, Credit Card Gateways - These require prior setup with whoever you are using), 5) Place either the Shopping Cart Search Box on a page or the individual item.

3) Build Site Offline?: Soholaunch sites are built at the server level, not on your local computer, but you do not have to allow customers to visit the shopping cart page until you make that page available on the menu or from an internal link.

4) Discounts and Coupons?: These would need to be part of a PHP Include that is added to the cart. These features are not currently built-in, but our Soholaunch Partner, www.templatezapper.com, has build an add-in. You might want to contact them.

5) PayPal?: PayPal is one of the built-in payment gateways. All you have to do is enter your PayPal ID in the Payment section of the cart and you are then setup to accept payments via PayPal.

6) Is the $99 fee a one-time charge?: Yes. For single domain licensees the $99 is a one-time charge for the life of the licensed domain.
