Does anyone know if demostorm is still in business?
I purchased tutorials from him and now I can not seem to get an answer from him.

Not quite gone but a number of factors will have us leaving. Please contact us at demo1q@comcast.net as we have been having issues in regard to email sent to that domain along with issues with our production system (one of the factors) . No one will be left holding the bag. We have a few customers that have been waiting a LONG time (Back to the two Hurricanes we had to deal with) to resolve issues and some not so long but we will straighten them out before we shut down and will leave the aforementioned email address for existing customers to contact us. The site itself has been closed down to dissuade any new business while we iron out the issues for existing customers including making sure they get any updates promised. Will still be using Soholaunch (After our physical and server relocation is complete -taking alot of our time) but beyond the updates do not foresee creating new demos for anything but the present release. Thanks

Thanks DLSweb but honestly I would hesitate. Thats one of the reasons we are making other arrangement for our business. You can't have an international service business in a place that gets struck by hurricanes multiple times every year. First its tiring and second even when you do get things back up and running you take a hit to your business and there are all kinds of ripple effects that you never anticipated (for example believe it or not most roofs that need repair will not be fixed before the next hurricane season ) lasting some times for years..
Theres that and the fact that we are much better at doing custom work not in producing and branding the same training over and over. We'd rather do white label training and let someone else handle the branding or have no branding at all. Just get paid for that and move on to other custom projects. Despite what some think the hosting end user business is not tremendously profitable compared to doing custom demo or flash work. Besides Honestly I don't ever think we did well at reproduction. Not where I would want it.

Sorry to see you all go.
I want to thank you for the support that you did give me in the past.
Putting the Soho Training online for my customers has helped me out alot. I am going to miss the updates :)

I purchased tutorials from him and now I can not seem to get an answer from him. I purchased them also, and have waited patiently to hear from them. I realized their website wasn't working and thought this forum might have a clue ... I guess they may have been struck by a hurricane.
I just sent an email to the address demo1q@comcast.net (mailto:demo1q@comcast.net) and we'll see if they respond. I sympathize with them, but I still feel they should have sent us an email explaining their situation.

After making a purchase on Dec. 23 and following up with email to him on Jan. 17th, He finally emailed me back on January 20th saying my training files would be ready on the following Monday. After not hearing from him by Feb. 2, I emailed again. I did not hear back. So on Feb. 11, I emailed again asking for a refund. I was given a paypal refund almost immediately with no other communication.
I would have like to have the training files, but did not want to take a chance any longer, especially with the lack of communication on his part.

I made a PayPal payment of USD$49.95 to him on the 14th October for the upgrades to the new demos. Despite emails to the original domain (now dead) and to the comcast email above, I haven't heard a word from him other than an initial promise he was going to do something about it. This also includes PMs to him on this forum.
So I guess his integrity is right out of the window, and despite all the bleating from him when someone else on these forums swiped the demos from his site, when the chips are down he's no better.
Hurricane(s) or not, he should have made sure this issue was resolved before clearing off.
Very disappointing.

Understandable conclusion. We are definitely out of business. As far as I know we had one past client in the UK who didn't get their order who did not have arrangements worked out. That and a very gracious customer whose offer we can't accept on their behalf. None of the two match to your domain name.. We did get a few emails through the comcast address and presently have the sales@demostorm.com set up again to make sure there are no loose ends. So email us. So yes out of business but not completely gone. Paypal refunds are now slow due to being out of business but there are other means. thanks.
