Hits Up - Sales Down, can anyone advise

I have a website specialising in wedding shoes, so my hits are mostly people who are looking for wedding shoes. My hits are up approx 1300 unique hits a day but the sales are down, the hits increased as expected in January as this is the wedding season but hte hits haven't gone up htey have gone down.
I have treid special offers, discount codes, changed the homepage, currently running a survey but nothing seems to be working. I know that retail is difficult at the moment but I am getting less orders than when I had less hits.

When you have visitors but lackluster sales, the issue is then more with your offers than anything else. I notice you do have Google Analytic. It is time to take a closer look at the numbers. Which pages did the visitors go? What are the bounce rates (visitors bolt immediately after coming to the page)? Pay particular attention to product pages with high bounce rates. These are just a few things you can look into and I'm sure there are plenty other numbers to offer you insights.

thanks the anaylitics do not reflect much. The drop in sales can be pin pointed to a specifice time/date with no major changes in stock, additional new lines have been added, so don't see it is a stock/prodict issue. This website has been running successfully for nealry 4 years but I am sure that the change is more than the current financial climate.
