Default Shopping Cart - changing position & rules

Hi, first time leaving help message so pls forgive if I have entered in the wrong place.

I am using the CSS Template with Flourishes in Light Brown, from Soho and the Shopping Cart.

The current structure of the template isn;t set up to do two things I would like to do, and so I am looking for your advice on how I can do this if possible:

1) Once you have place items in the shopping Cart and click on the "continue shopping" I want it to go back to the last page viewed. I'm not sure how to change teh code to do this.

2) I would also like the Shopping Cart box to be visible in the left hand menu of the template so when on any Page in the website you can see what you have bought and click on it to checkout at any time.

I have been running the website for a while as it is, but I know I find it frustrating so my customers must probably do too.

My website is

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

1: Go here:
Shopping Cart Issue?
Read post #8.

2: You can add a link to the shopping cart within the menu manager.
Your site url/shopping/pgm-add_cart.php?ACTION=view
Otherwise you will need to customize some code or templet to have it on all the pages.

1) Thanks for the advice I'll give it a try and see how I go.

For (2) When you say through Menu Manager, are you referring to Menu Navigation / Add or Manage Custom Links?

No Problem,
1. Just remember that when you do a soho update that will get changed back so
keep a copy of the file so you can redo them after you do a soho update.

2. Yes, On the bottom you can add a custom link to the menu.

Hi, so I tried the advice for (2) and probably becasue of my limited code knowledge I couldn't get it to work.

I created a Menu Item (Page) called Shopping Cart Contents so I would have something to click on from the Main Menu, then went to the Custom Links under Menu Navigator and added the code to the link
http://www.site url/shopping/pgm-add_cart.php?ACTION=view and the page comes up blank.

Any chance you can point where I went wrong?

Thanks
