Problem with sku# updates

All, I'm having issues with my "Already Existing" sku#'s not wanting to update. Anytime I try to change anything and click "Save", it takes me back to the main item page and doesn't update the changes. I read through a couple other forum articles that mentioned downloading the latest "Stable" version which I have done but still have the same issue. Is there something else I can try??? Thanks...
