Default How about a multi-currency plug-in

Hi All

Dunno if this exists already, but I can't find it

I don't mean a beefed-up, do-everything-including-your-morning-coffee type of thing, just a simple little plugin that will hold a user's preferred currency from page-to-page (whether or not they're logged in), and preform a price conversion on the shopping cart (Unit price and variants). Site owner should put in conversions. If getting from xe.com or th elike, you would need to include an add-on (xe.com quotes spot rate, and most of us pay more since we're not banks)

I may be asking for the moon, but, hey, I don't know any better

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,
I have used this on a few soho sites i built.
Dynamic Converter multi-currency display ~ show your prices in multiple currencies
Just add it to the templet and it will work on all pages.

Ok, so maybe I'm a little slow

During registration on the Dynamic Cpnverter site, it asks which shopping cart is in use. Soho isn't listed. Does it matter which is chosen?

Select "other" in the drop down list - you can also see how it would work on your site from the main page - left hand side column there is a spot to add your website address and see how it looks/reacts.

Great stuff, Thanks

Works very nicely and even tacks a little on to compensate for spot vs reality

Highly reccomended

Whooops, spoke too soon

Any way to make it work on variants?

Variants seem to be a problem alright - have not had a chance to play with it yet myself - too many other things on my "to do list".

Shopping carts supported by Dynamic Converter multi-currency display

Maybe drop them an email and see if they have any documentation regarding Soho launch - they might be interested in developing it.

Will do.

BTW it applies the conversion once the part is added to the shopping cart, but variants show original price

I'll keep you posted on results

Try using the extended variant display in the shopping cart - it then picks it up and displays the conversion.
