Default Secure pages showing up in Google

We have a content-rich site that contains tons of private information. We have groups set which therefore requires a password to log in, but the files are showing up on Google! This is NOT a good thing. Please HELP!

Default thanks

Now if I can just figure out how to use the robot.txt file in the root of my host. I know what that means, kinda, but I'm afraid to go poking around in there and mess something up! We are short a webmaster at the moment...

The robots.txt file is located in two folders :
public_html/
and
sohoadmin/client_files/base_files

It is a text file that tells the spiders which folders not to crawl, and should look something like :

User-agent: *
Disallow: /sohoadmin/
Disallow: /tCustom/
Disallow: /template/

To edit the file use cPanel or FTP download.
To prevent crawler access to a specific folder, say media, add a new line similar to :
Disallow:/media/ .

Or a specific php file in the public_html folder :

Disallow: /myscript.php
